In 1987 he qualified as a general practitioner at Stellenbosch University.
He has many years of experience in both public and private medicine, including General Medicine, Minor Surgical Procedures, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Anaesthetics, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He started serving the Empangeni community in 1989.
He attends seminars weekly, thereby continually educating himself in the latest medical knowledge, techniques and medications available. This enables him to continually offer the best possible service to his patients.
He loves to spend his free time with his beautiful, loving wife and his wonderful children. He is committed to helping his patients and their families to find health, wellness and to enjoy quality of life.
Dr. Shelley Parker-Nance is a general practitioner originally from Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. After graduating cum laude from Stellenbosch University in 2021, Shelley completed her internship at Ngwelezane Hospital and her community service at Mapulaneng Hospital in Mpumalanga. It was during these experiences that she developed a passion for working with patients of all ages and providing high-quality, evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Parker-Nance has a special interest in chronic disease management, preventative medicine, skin health, and mental wellness. She believes in the importance of continuous learning to ensure she provides the best possible care to her patients.
Outside of work, Shelley enjoys spending time in nature, whether camping or hiking.
In the 22 years that followed, he practiced in Amersfoort. This included GP, forensics, hospital and clinic work.
At the end of 2018 he relocated to Mtunzini where he has a practice.
He is available for consultations every Tuesday afternoon from 14h00 – 17h00 at our practice. He also works at the Empangeni Garden Clinic’s ER.
He specialises in minor procedures and enjoys the challenges arising from practicing as a GP.
His humble and dedicated service is much appreciated by his patients.
